Since Christmas of 1973, "El Pessebre de Bàscara", has tried to capture the cribs that we traditionally make in our homes with clay figures, but in real life size and in an appropriate surrounding.

It is a living revival of the birth of Jesus within a large space with springs and caves, steep rocky cliffs, unusual vegetation and watered by the waters of the river Fluvià.

There are fragments of the daily life of Palestine from 2000 years ago depicted in Medieval style streets and buildings and enacted by 300 people from the town of Bàscara and its outlying areas.
